ADHD

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is a neurological medical condition that impacts individuals in four main categories:

Attention – Difficulties in paying attention, focusing, or finishing unexciting tasks.

Impulsivity – Impulsive behaviors might harm relationships, work and school.

Hyperactivity – Many with ADHD are “jumpy” and hyperactive, fidgety and restless.

Easily Bored – often bored and find it hard to finish monotonous tasks.

People of all ages can suffer from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. The disorder is expressed in different “looks” or “types.”  It may severely impact behavior for some, or greatly impact learning for others. In its milder version, it just impacts attention, focus, concentration, and getting the job done.

“Attention Deficit” impacts about 5% of the children and teenagers, and about 3% of all adults. Less than half of children with ADD find relief in their adolescence or adulthood. Neglecting to treat the disorder can have long-term harmful effects into adolescence and adulthood.
